NEW TECHNOLOGIES AT PLOVDIV FAIR

During the 67th International Technical Fair in the Bulgarian town of Plovdiv, Palilula Municipality organized on September 29 "Business Forum Serbia - Bulgaria." During this thematic conference, organized with the support of the Embassy of Serbia in Bulgaria, the Regional Chamber of Economy - Nis and Nis LEDIB, about fifty businessmen from Bulgaria and Serbia participated. After the welcome words of Ivan Sokolov, director of this prestigious fair events, the participants were addressed by Aleksandar Milicevic, Attaché for Economic Affairs of our embassy in Sofia. He spoke about current economic developments in the region and the importance of achieving regional economic cooperation. Municipal project "Establishment of synergistic dialogue between Serbian and Bulgarian entrepreneurs / SMEs and professional organizations to develop a sustainable exchange of experience" was presented during this occasion. The event was supported by LEDIB and gathered 15 Palilula entrepreneurs. Milan Djurdjevic, president of the Assembly of Palilula, Boban Mikic, member of the Municipal Council and Zarko Simovic, representative LEDIB spoke about this matter.
Aleksandar Mitic, President of the Regional Chamber of Economy Nis spoke about the economic potential of Nis, Pirot and Toplica regions.
"Free Zone Pirot" presentation was also organized. Zoran Petrovic, deputy director of the institution introduced the participants with the role of free zones in Serbia and opportunities of the Free Zone Pirot forum participants.
PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality, estimated that it was expected that representatives of SME sector in Serbia and Bulgaria, with bilateral talks by the end of the fair, would have entered into new business arrangements.
Plovdiv Fair, which presents 1482 companies from 44 countries worldwide, is expected to be visited by more than 100,000 businessmen by the end on October 1. Fair partner this year is Russia, and the exhibition runs under the motto "New life-new technology."
